Academic literature provides us with evidence supporting the demand to device teacher training programs able to aim awareness and reflection about inclusive education themes, moving beyond the only theorical and technical knowledge. The present paper proposes to show a pedagogical experience aimed at Primary Education students of Palermo University, which intends to promote a process of critical thinking on the representation and conceptualization of disability and in‐ clusion, through a training methodology based on the use of performing arts for improving traditional Problem‐based Learning approaches.

Campus Asia “Cinema Paradise” 2021. “Above the clouds”: Un progetto temporaneo per la Valle di Bolognetta

In the frame of the international winter school organized by Campus Asia, the Valley of Bolognetta has been chosen by the LabCity Architecture group as the official site for an architectural competition. On the 30th anniversary of the Academy Award to Maestro Giuseppe Tornatore, Campus Asia promoted “Cinema Paradise” as main theme to design an architectural project that is envisioned as strictly connected to the people and to the environment. The project “Above the cloud”, presented by LabCity Architecture Team from the University of Palermo, joins nature and architecture through the design of a performative event.

Urbanized territories have expanded invading the space and modifying the dynamics defined over the centuries of slow development, often making the city indistinguishable from the non-city. In this condition, an unforeseen form of landscape takes place and determines itself, unexpectedly interposing between the planned meshes. Performance art (like Orlan’s “Carnal Art”) involves artist body in the performance itself and it is based on a clear phenomenological assumption: we “do not have” a body, but we “are” our body, we are our “sculpture”.
